[sw-l] SignWriter - feature "gloss" input method

Hello Tomas!
Thank you very much for this message. I had a telephone meeting with  
SignPuddle programmer, Steve Slevinski, this morning and we briefly  
looked at your message...I am afraid I will have to study it further  
as I am not sure what you mean, but one tiny thing you should  
know...There are a lot of computer programs now, that use SignWriting  
in different ways...SignWriter DOS, SignWriter Java, SignWriter Tiger  
and SignWriter Python are all one group of programs that use the  
keyboard to type symbols with a typing system that we devised years  
ago...The only place that the SignWriter programs use glosses is in  
the Dictionary feature built into SignWriter...to find a sign in that  
dictionary, we have to type the word to find the sign...

Meanwhile SignBank and SignPuddle are two other programs that are  
different than SignWriter...and each software developer has their own  
vision as to how their programs work...so I think you are talking  
about working with SignBank and SignPuddle below? If so, then Steve  
and I are the two to take a look at what you mean...

Give me a day or so, since I have so much mail, and then I will get  
back to you with feedback - Steve is also quite busy, but in time we  
will think it through!
