SignWriting List

I tried to post this message last night, but for some reason the List
software refused to post the message! Here it is again....

-----------

Thank you, Anny, for the question, and Stefan for your answer. Thanks
for grabbing the photos of the signer...

To explain how I would write that sign...

It is a description of the Middle Joint and Knuckle Joint symbols:

http://www.signwriting.org/lessons/lessonsw/finger/finger.html

The key to these symbols has to do with the Middle Joint. If there is
movement in the Middle Joint, then it is written with a dot. But if
the Middle Joint locks...if the Middle Joint does not change...if the
middle joint is FROZEN...so the finger is like a stiff board, moving
only from the Knuckle joint...then it uses the little
arrows...continued next message...
