Steve, in looking over your Terminology and Character Mapping, it seems 
that in your Coordinate Character section that you are equating "2 
single byte numbers" with part of the definition of "hex" ("... or a 
letter in").   Is that true?  Are you using "letter" in the Terminology 
of "hex" the same way you are using "numbers" in the coordinate 
character mapping definition?
