SignWriting List
July 28, 2008

Hello Machado!
It is wonderful to hear from you again, and thanks also to other
messages from Stuart Thiessen, Adam Frost and others...

No, this has nothing to do with creating the SVG for the entire ISWA
2008. We just did ONE sign for World...so that Gerard could have an
illustration for his artwork, and Adam did that one sign in
Inkscape...and then we showed it to the List...that is how this whole
subject came up...smile...I have attached the one sign for WORLD to
show you what Adam did in Inkscape.

Regarding putting the ISWA 2008 symbolset into SVG someday...we have
not started that work yet...Because SignPuddle 2.0 is taking some time
to develop, and we are not ready yet with SignPuddle 2.0, I have had a
little more time to improve the ISWA 2008 in bitmaps. So i am still
working on the original symbols. Once SignPuddle 2.0 is ready, it will
use the new symbols and the ISWA 2008 will be frozen...no more changes
for a long time...which means we can then create the SVG for it...

And thank you Machado, for all your help in the past. Your IMWA SVG
version is really beautiful and has a real flair to it!

I hope you are doing well...

All the best - Val ;-)
