SignWriting List
March 28, 2008

Hello Eyasu and Eliza!
Thank you for this nice message...Now I understand how Eliza learned
about SignWriting...It is through your SignWriting instruction at
Addis Ababa University...this is great news.

I shipped the box of SignWriting materials to Eliza last week. They
are similar to the materials I already sent you, Eyasu.

I am very impressed with your BA in Ethiopian Sign Language and Deaf
Culture at Addis Ababa University. Congratulations on all you have
accomplished so quickly!

And I will be very happy to add this photo to our web area for
Ethiopia...I will write again when it is posted on the web... This is
a great picture!

I am finishing the ISWA 2008 to the best of my ability, this weekend.
I have worked on it for two years now...And there are many new
handshapes that I hope will be helpful to writing Ethiopian Sign
Language...We hope to install the new symbols into SignPuddle in May
or June 2008...So hopefully, by the time your University program is
ready in September 2008, the new handshapes will be available to your
students...

Many blessings -

Val ;-)
