thanks for your comment. So I understand how to sign "Hawaii". 

And yes - these circles in front of the face are constantly a challenge -
smile - 

Look at the sign for Ethiopia - same problem -

I just found the version of Hawaii in the SignPuddle with my name  
attached to it. It was a while ago and I remember that I just copied  
the sign of what was already in a dictionary without really looking at  
the spelling. Val later told me that that was the way that the DAC had  
entered it when they first did it. Now that I know the system better  
then I did then and I have looked at it, I realize that it is wrong  
because there is no contact at the nose. I have updated it so that it  
is just a nose without the touch, but I am still playing around with  
it because I still don't feel that it gives the feeling that the hand  
goes in front of the face. I will see about it. ;-)
