SignWriting List
December 13, 2010

Hello Stefan!
Thank you for your good editing below...Every document needs multiple editors to find all the tiny things...

You are absolutely correct - the last writing of the sign, from the Top View, should have double-stemmed arrows, not single stemmed arrows...

I have corrected the diagram here:

This is why I ask everyone to please post your questions to the SignWriting List, rather than to me personally...I do not see everything all the time - especially when we rarely write from the Receptive, Side or Top Perspectives...

It is good to have the Expressive and Receptive viewpoints, and the Side and Top perspectives as well... for research purposes... but Expressive is what we use on a daily basis.

This question came from another person, Stefan, not from me. So it is not my choice to compare a sign in these four perspectives - of course we write from the Expressive and that is all that is necessary - but I needed to answer this very interesting question...

I will send your feedback to the person who wrote to me -

Thanks for your help, Stefan!

Val ;-)
