Hello Dali and everyone -

First, the Touch Contact Star, the asterisk * between two lines, means "Touch-Between".

Second, when you place another kind of contact symbol, like a Brush or a Rub symbol, between two lines, it means Brush-Between or Rub-Between....they are different nuances of "between" action...like brushing between two fingers... Here is a listing of the names of the Contact Symbols:

Third, most of the time the Touch-Between is enough information, but if you want to be more detailed about it, you can use other contact symbols between two lines to clarify. A Grasp symbol between two lines, the Grasp-Between, means that you are grasping, or holding or pinching something between two fingers...it is very subtle and if you want to use just the simple Touch-Between, most of the time that will be understood well -

Thanks for your questions and ask more if you wish - and keep writing - we need your writing of Tunisian Sign Language in SignPuddle so it is documented...

Thank you, Dali, and have a blessed day!

Val ;-)
