Hello Erika and everyone -

Thank you for this message and I am so happy to know about your article on SignWriting for the academic journal Language and Communication.

Below is a link to one paper presented by Elena Pizzuto. It is not the exact paper you are seeking. This one was presented at TISLR 2000, and it links to our web page "SignWriting in Italy: http://www.signwriting.org/italy", because I did some of the diagrams in SignWriting for the paper, in collaboration with Elena and her Deaf co-workers:

WORKSHOP “CROSS-LINGUISTIC INVESTIGATIONS OF SIGN LANGUAGES:
“Can Similarities And Differences Be Detected Without Appropriate Tools For Representing And Analyzing Signed Texts?”
by Elena Pizzuto and team, with illustrations and diagrams in SignWriting, written in Italian Sign Language by several writers
http://www.SignWriting.org/archive/docs1/sw0061-IT-Pizzuto-TISLR00.pdf

I will look for the exact paper you mention, Erika, and get back to you - I hope others can find it for you too -

Val ;-)

> Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I recently submitted an article about SignWriting to an academic journal called Language and Communication. The journal's comments were very positive but they have a few suggestions for revisions. One is that they would like me to cite a particular piece by Elena Pizzuto. I am quite happy to do this as her work is of course relevant and excellent. However, I'm having a little trouble getting my hands on the particular piece they recommend. I'm still looking for it, but it occurred to me that a list member might have a pdf of the paper, so I thought I'd check here. The paper is:
> Elena Pizzuto, Barbara Pennacchi, Paolo Rossini. Invited paper to be presented at the Meeting on "Aprendizaje de las Lenguas Europeas en personas Sordas y Sordiciegas en el siglo XXI - APREL XXI", European Union, "European Year of Languages 2001" Program, University of Barcelona, November 30-December 1, 2001.
