One sign difficult writing

Again, Ingvild, unless I twist my entire body so that the arm is also pointing left, I cannot read your sign as anything other than two right hands.

I have never understood anything but the Parkhurst rule. I follow the thumb side pointing inward when the hand is turned forward and down. I look at a photograph, if I can't lay my hands down on the photo and show the thumb on the correct side, there is a serious problem.

On my left hand, the fingers certainly do point to the left when the hand is curved and the palm is down. I understand the sign to show the water flowing over a rock or a precipie of some sort. The water then is represented by the right hand and the rock or whatever by the left hand. If my understanding of the Tunisian sign is wrong, I appologize

I can't read the first sign in your sentence as the left-hand fingers are pointed to the left and my hand just doesn't twist that way. Is there some reason the curl of the fingers is draped over the left way when the right hand is going over the top?

This makes no sense.

When I saw your qusteion, I imediately thought of two Norwegian signs wich are in many ways similar. (The NSL for waterfall is one-handed, and thus less complicated). Those two signs means 'expert' (right hand brushing atop left hand, both hands horisontal ond fingers spread) and 'maculation by shedding' (rigt hand brushing left hand, both hands vertcal/down and with fingers spread). No jigeling of fingers on those two. I have attached my attempts two write these signs. I find the Tusnisan sign much harder to write ...

Thank you for these Norwegian signs, Ingvild! The last three I can read well. The first sign…do you mean for the cupped hand to be the left hand? If it is a left hand, then I believe it needs to be flopped? Tell us more about that sign… Yes, I agree the Tunisian sign is harder to write…. smile...
