CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE FOR A SUCCESSFUL SIGNWRITING CONGRESS IN PORTO ALEGRE, BRAZIL, DECEMBER, 2018!

O objetivo principal do I Congresso Interdisciplinar sobre Escrita da Língua de Sinais da Região Sul (CIELS-Sul) foi cumprido. Ocorrido nos dias 13, 14 e 15 de dezembro de 2018, nas dependências da Escola Especial para Surdos Frei Pacífico, trouxe mais de 15 profissionais, de diferentes locais do país, para apresentarem suas experiências, pesquisas e produções referentes à Língua Brasileira de Sinais (LIBRAS), com foco na Escrita da Língua de Sinais (ELS), pelo sistema SignWriting. O material completo sobre o Congresso, tão logo tenha sua editoração pronta, será colocado à disposição em nossos meios de comunicação.  Obrigado a todos que participaram e contribuíram, assim, para que a Escrita da Língua de Sinais seja ampliada no ambiente escolar, enriquecendo ainda mais a Cultura Surda. https://www.ciels-sul.com

The main objective of the First Interdisciplinary Congress on SignWriting in the Southern Region of Brazil (CIELS-South) was fulfilled. On December 13, 14 and 15, 2018, in the facilities of the Special School for the Deaf Frei Pacific in Porto Alegre, more than 15 professionals, from different places in Brazil, presented their experiences, research and publications related to Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS), focusing on Sign Language Writing (ELS), using the SignWriting system. The complete material on the Congress, as soon as its publication is ready, will be made available in our media. Thank you to all who participated and contributed, so that SignWriting is amplified in the school environment, further enriching Deaf Culture. https://www.ciels-sul.com
