SignWriting List
February 3, 2022

Hello SignWriting List, and Amit,
Thank you Amit for working on special software for writing fingerspelling from different countries in a quick and easy way related to online transcriptions.

And many thanks to Steve Slevinski, for FSW, and the Fingerspeller program in SignPuddle Online.

I know you need some special files - the fingerspelling characters in FSW from different countries, listed in FSW format (computer sources). This will help with your software development.

So just now I completed the FSW for Fingerspelling for LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language). Changes may need to be made later. There are different ways to fingerspell and individual writers in Brazil write fingerspelling a little differently, so I based this file on the old SignWriter DOS fingerspelling keyboard for Brazil, plus made a few changes based on new entries in SignPuddle by other more recent writers. Brazilians are very active SignWriters. Thank you, beautiful Brazil ;-)

Please see attached, the Brazilian Fingerspelling Keyboard from SignWriter DOS, and the FSW file in .txt format.

Val ;-)

The attached text file with the FSW does not include numbers or punctuation, only the alphabetic fingerspelling characters.
