Hi, here is underlined hiragana word "sayaka" in my XP and
OpenOffice.org with 0, 90 and 270 degrees (maybe it helps):<br>

sideways. The characters stayed upright, and just the underlining went
to the side. And the underlining was on the right side too, not the
left. So my guess is that English Word only fully supports horizontal
