Subject: [sw-l] Sign Bible: Expertise<br>
<br>
Hi List,<br>
<br>
A question for all: I'm trying to trace down experts in sign language<br>
Bible Translation. I'm thinking about starting a major dissertation in<br>
this area, but there doesn't seem to be that much literature on the<br>
subject. Any ideas, names etc will be of great help to me...<br>
<br>
Many thanks to you and I wish you all I lovely day :)<br>

Hi Maria,<br>
The WatchTower Bible and Tract Society does Bible Translation in
sign language. I know for ASL they have finished translating
Matthew trough Acts. I am unaware if they have translated the Bible
into any other sign languages yet or not. <br>
Their website is <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated"
href="http://www.watchtower.org">www.watchtower.org</a>.<br>
<br>
This past month the tract "Would you like to know the truth?" was
posted
on their site in many sign languages. It includes several scriptures.
I believe it's the the first time, I´ve seen the same article
translated into so many sign languages. It´s been fun looking at
other sign languages even though I don't understand everything that is
being signed. <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://www.watchtower.org/lsm/dvkt/article_01.htm">http://watchtower.org/e/sign.htm</a><br>
<br>
If you want to contact them their contact page is
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="https://watch002.securesites.net/contact/submit.htm">https://watch002.securesites.net/contact/submit.htm</a>
or write to a
branch near you, the addresses appear in the Watchtower magazine.<br>
<br>
I hope this helps with your dissertation<br>
