<pre wrap="">Hi Jonathan,
All the features mentioned are exactly what I need, but the most imp one
is that when you add a column of signwriting in the middle of the
document, all following columns move to accomodate it. Like writing
spoken languages in Word, you can insert a paragraph wherever you like and
everything else moves to accomodate it (I don't know what this is called
in technical terms, I'm sure there is a word for it :)
So you are working on a program for signwriting documents?
What about the option of printing A5 is that possible in this program?
Thanks for your response,
Maria

<pre wrap="">Hi Maria,
I don't know of any other program yet. Mine is progressing but
unfinished. My document suite lets the document flow on the screen from
one column to the next. I haven't done the printing part yet but was
intending to do it in similar fashion. So when you add some text, what
doesn't fit on one page flows to the next, etc. The idea is also to be
able to have inline pictures within any of the 3 lanes of the column. I
can also have gloss on the signwriting or not.
Is this what you were wanting? What other editing features would be
important for you?

<pre wrap="">Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone on the list has experience transferring long
signwriting documents into another program (such as DocumentMaker) and
maybe could suggest another program which is a little more flexible?
DocumentMaker is very good of course, however I am thinking in terms of
very long documents and one limitation in DocumentMaker is the
following:
Say you have completed 50 pages, then whilst editing you realise you
need
to add another column somewhere inbetween, say at page 25, if you add
the
column there at page 25, all that follows does not change (because each
page is saved separately). It would be really good if there was a
program
that allowed for this flexibility.
Thanks to all,
maria
