Hoi,
It is more like Wikipedia. One of the important things is that it allows everyone to write. When you consider the many e-mails that come out way, you often know about things that you want to remember or want to go back to. These e-mails are often hard to find. In a Wiki like Wikipedia you can build in references to subjects and these subjects can be something like "list of organisations that use SignWriting". Like on Wikipedia everybody can join in the writing.

The one benefit I see is that it allows many more people to contribute. It would not all be for Valerie to do.
Thanks,
Gerard

2009/6/8 MARIA AZZOPARDI <maria.azzopardi@um.edu.mt>

Thank you Lucy, Gerard and Valerie,

Oh of course to add to the list there is the University of Malta,
Institute of Linguistics :)

I'm afraid I have no clue about the 'wiki' - I'm not very good with
technology :/ I don't even know what a wiki is and at the moment I too
don't have enough time to look into it. Is it similar to facebook?
