You know, it occurs to me that Joe's article on terminology could be quite appropriate for the Writing Systems Research journal we've discussed. I wonder if he'd be interested in submitting it - then it would be easily accessible and cite-able for scholars.<br>

<div><br></div><div>It is my understanding that this was an article Joe wrote, without it ever being published elsewhere - Joe gave it to me to post, because he wanted people to know about it and read it and use it. So if you do not hear from Joe, I would suggest that you cite the SignWriting web site as the publisher, and give the url for the document, which is free for download.</div>

<div><br></div><div>Thank you for asking, Claudia!</div><div><br></div><div>And by the way, not everyone agrees with terminologies - there are different terminologies used within the SignWriting community - there have been lively discussions about SignWriting terminology in the past - so it is an interesting topic - I think terminology in spoken languages, describing sign languages and the writing of sign languages, is inadequate at best…because people see language so differently - but I am very glad that Joe wrote this article, and if there are others who would like to write articles about your terminology describing SignWriting I will be happy to post it too - smile - Thank you for sharing with us, Joe -</div>
