They are not Top View, because you are looking at the Heel of your Hand, which although is sort of Front View, it is not really the "full" Front View - so I think changing the way we describe the symbols in the English language will be an improvement…I like this change very much: Heel View …which has its own rules that are not the same as Front View or Top View - and this means that I need to change our textbooks with the new terminology.</div><div><br></div><div>But I will not be changing the symbols themselves. Hi Stefan, <br>
When I first looked at it I didn't find it hard to read but if I
had written a heal symbol by hand, I don't think I would've written
a gap there either as I always associate the gap with the top view.<br>

I also have a question about the "Heel of Hand or Top
View" where we can use either handshape. Are these only
interchangeable when parallel to the Floor Plane and
pointing straight
forward? And only for flat hands or fist, or specifically
just for the
ones listed in chapter 11?<br>
