Hi Val,<br>
In my experience, the difference with google hangouts is that,
it lets several people to be talking simultaneously and seeing them
in the small boxes at the bottom. Where as in a webinar, the MC
usually presents the speaker, then passes control to the presenter
and doesn't talk again until the presenter has finished or need to
interrupt for some technical problem. All connected users can ask
questions by typing them, sometimes it is possible to talk too but
the prefered method is typing during the presentation and the
presenter may answer the questions during the presentation or at the
end. So really the main difference, is that a webinar isn't a
conversation between so many people. Some companies give out gifts
to encourage people to take the time to watch the webinar live and
ask questions. So I would say the Symposium was a reall success,
many of us were genuinely interested enough to take the time to
watch part or all of the symposium, ask questions and not expect any
presents for doing so. <span class="moz-smiley-s1"> :-) </span>
<br>
Thanks once again to all the presenter and all on your team for
the Symposium.<br>
<br>
Regards,<br>
Jonathan<br>
