When you try rotating the hand around the front wall circle, the hand seems to want to turn over when it is facing down. When your fingers are pointing up, the thumb naturally faces the signer. But when the hand has rotated half way through the circle and the fingers are pointing down, with the thumb pointing to the signer, the posture is very awkward and has to be very uncommon.
