Hi SignWriting list,

Today I published v1.6.0 of the @suton-signwriting/core package.
The new version includes support for the Symbol ID.

Symbols of the International SignWriting Alphabet (ISWA) 2010 have
several names. Consider the first symbol.

ID of 1
Symbol ID of 01-01-001-01-01-01
Formal SignWriting in ASCII (FSW) key of S10000
SignWriting in Unicode (SWU) of U+40001

You can see the various conversions and transformations in the
@sutton-signwriting/core documentation.

Why so many names?

The Symbol ID is the original name of the symbol. It contains 6
degrees of information: category, group, base, variation, fill, and
rotation.

The ID is a 16-bit integer. Useful for storing in a database.

The Formal SignWriting in ASCII (FSW) name and the SignWriting in
Unicode (SWU) name are used when writing signs as words.

Regards,
