    <font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">Hello again Emilie.
      Thanks very much for this message, and for the delay at my end. These
      two articles are both very interesting in their different ways,
      and show both similarities and differences between France and the
      UK. In both countries, it seems that grammar is a hot topic for
      debate, and there's a lot of uncertainty about aims as well as
      about content and methods. But in France you never abandoned
      grammar teaching totally, so your teachers all know some grammar
      and the question is how to develop this knowledge and apply it to
      the teaching of standard French. Anyway, I've added your
      references to the website at
      <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://teach-grammar.com/geography#france">http://teach-grammar.com/geography#france</a> .  <br>
      <br>
      If anyone else on this list can provide information about the
      teaching of grammar in other countries, I would love to expand
      this list of countries!!<br>
