Dear Colleagues,

The 48th International Conference on Sino-Tibetan Languages and Linguistics (ICSTLL48) is now calling for papers, with a deadline of May 1, 2015. Apologies for cross-posting.

We invite submission of abstracts for presentations covering all aspects of linguistic research on Sino-Tibetan and other area languages. Papers will be allotted twenty minutes for presentation followed by ten minutes for questions and discussion. Papers should be presented in English.

Abstracts should conform to the following guidelines:

-- No longer than 350 words

-- Written in English

-- Should not include the name and affiliation of the presenter

-- Should be sent as an email attachment(MS Word compatible or PDF) to icstll48 at yahoo.com.

The conference will be hosted by the Department of Linguistics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, August 21-23, 2015. In addition, two pre-conference workshops - How Grammars Encode Space in Tibeto-Burman and Preserving Cultural Heritage in Ethnic Tibetan Communities in China - will take place on August 20.

We look forward to seeing you in August!
