The first issue of Languages and Peoples of the Eastern Himalayan Region (LPEHR), has been published under the aegis of Himalayan Linguistics at https://escholarship.org/uc/himalayanlinguistics/0/1<https://escholarship.org/uc/himalayanlinguistics/0/1>. LPEHR is the successor to the eight volumes of North East Indian Linguistics (NEIL) published between 2008 and 2018. The first issue contains papers from NEILS conferences and other papers relating to North East India.

This volume is edited by Linda Konnerth, Stephen Morey, Mijke Mulder and Kellen Parker van Dam and contains the following papers:
