<p class=MsoNormal><span class=apple-style-span>Shada (b.~1940), is a Namzi/
Namuyi Tibetan native of Xiangshui Village, Xichang City, Liangshan Yi
Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, PR China. Now he lives in Dongfeng
Village, Shaba Town, Mianning County, Lianshan Yi Autonomous Prefectue with his
son’s family. Libu Lakhi invited him to Xining City, Qinghai Province and
recorded his chanting using a Marantz PMD660 recorder and Rode NT4 microphone
in 2009. The chants include 13 types of rituals Namuyi Tibetans practice in
daily life. In addition, Shada also talked about how he became a <i>phatse</i> (spirit
medium) and his life as a religious specialist.</span><br>
