I grew up in Sichuan china and have been learning Qiang for the past several years. You are right that this is a non-tibetan language and is spoken by the ethnic Tibetans in Heishui county as well as the Qiang in Mao, Wen, and Li counties. Maybe the director could correct / address this issue before the film comes out? I was very excited to hear Qiang as soon as I played the recording!</div>

</div><div><br clear="none"></div><div>I met the film-maker at a conference recently, and saw a draft version of the film, in which the language is described as a 'dialect of Tibetan', which is obviously problematic. It would be great if the film could actually name the language being spoken. Any help appreciated. I can provide an audio sample of the language if needed.</div>
