Topics may include, but are not limited to:</div><div>Phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, typology, language documentation, field reports, ethnographic studies, language technology, computational linguistics</div><div>Contributions from related disciplines (e.g., history, archaeology, ethnobotany, genetics, anthropology) that inform the history and development of Himalayan languages</div><div>Papers are not limited to the Trans-Himalayan language family but may also cover Indo-Aryan, Tai-Kadai, Austro-Asiatic, Hmong-Mien languages, as well as isolates, pidgins, and creoles traditionally spoken in the region.</div><div>Submission Guidelines</div><div>Abstract deadline: March 1, 2025 (no extensions)</div><div>Abstracts should be anonymized, with a maximum length of one page, excluding references.</div><div>Include author information (name, title, institutional affiliation, and contact details) in the body of your email.</div><div>Submit abstracts as a PDF attachment to himalayanlanguagessymposium28@gmail.com.</div><div>Request for Reviewers</div><div>We kindly invite colleagues to volunteer as reviewers for the conference abstracts.
