THE EUROPEAN STUDIES CONSORTIUM

through a Title VI Grant of the US Department of Education

is pleased to offer

TEACHER STIPENDS

for teachers of European Less-Commonly-Taught Languages

Teachers of European less-commonly-taught languages (on any level:
K-12 or post-secondary) are eligible for a $ 650 stipend to
participate in

2002 SUMMER INSTITUTES FOR LANGUAGE TEACHERS

offered by the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition
(CARLA) at the University of Minnesota.

For more information on these seminars, the graduate credit option
and for registration: Visit CARLA's website at
http://carla.acad.umn.edu/summerinst.html.

Candidates who wish to apply for one of the Teacher Stipends should
submit the Application Form, a one-page Letter of Introduction, and a
one-page Resume. In the letter, candidates should address how the
stipend will aid their professional development and, specifically,
how the seminar will aid their teaching of the less-commonly-taught
language.
