International Conference EARTH AND PEOPLE , Lovozero, Russia

The Community Kildin and Estonian Fund for Nature are inviting You to the
conference Earth and People 13-15th of September 2002 in Lovozero, Murmansk
region, Russia for further co-operation.
Goals of the conference:
-    define what resources Kola Saami people have for sustainable land use;
-    identify long-term needs for training and networking;
-    spread information on new laws for indigenous peoples in Russia and
about experiences of founding communities and traditional land use
territories;
-    about archive materials as an important source of information for
indigenous people;
-    develop the ten year international cooperation program "Earth and
People" for sustainable development;
-    initiate Agenda 21 and local Agenda 21 programs for Kola Saami people;
-    establish a network of Kola Saami organizations, organizations of
environment protection and organizations for indigenous peoples.
We expect Kola Saami people, Kola Saami communities, Saami and other
indigenous peoples organizations, representatives of local and international
environmental protection organizations, representatives of local government
to join us.
We feel the conference would greatly benefit from Your presence. Please
inform us whether You will be able to attend the conference by filling in
