Mari State University in Yoshkar-Ola, Republic of Mari El, Russian
Federation, is happy to announce the coming 22nd International Finno-Ugrist
Student Conference IFUSCO-2006.
The conference is to be held on May 18-22 in Yoshkar-Ola.
Arrival date of participants is May 18, departure date is May 22.
The Conference is organized by Mari State University, the Ministry of
Media and Ethnic Affairs of the Republic Mari El, the Youth Finno-Ugric
Association and the Mari non-governmental organization "Mari Youth Union "U
We invite graduate students and postgraduates to deliver their reports
in the following fields of Finno-Ugric studies:
- History, Archaeology, Ethnology
- Finno-Ugric Languages
- Folklore and Literature of the Finno-Ugric peoples
- Intercultural Communications in the Finno-Ugric World
Deadline for applications for participation in IFUSCO-2006 is March 1, 2006.
Deadline for report abstracts is March 20, 2006.
Those who don't have Russian citizenship should enclose a copy of the
(either as attached jpg. file in e-mail messages or by fax).
The participation fee is 80 Euro for foreign students and 20 Euro (700
for participants from Russian Federation. For the convenience of the
the fee payment can be done in cash upon arrival in Yoshkar-Ola.
The fee payment will partly cover publication costs of participants'
duties expenses (registration of foreign participants, visa invitation),
accommodation and dinners.
Participants of the Conference will pay travel costs to Yoshkar-Ola and
breakfasts and suppers.
