> In this conference, we invite researchers, heritage authorities, museum workers and other practitioners to discuss recent results and current questions in Sámi archaeology, aiming also to identify future research strategies and challenges according to developments in scientific approaches and other issues concerning Sámi society.
> All abstracts related to Sámi archaeology are welcome. Topics may include new results, methodological and theoretical developments, aspects of heritage management and dissemination, and related ethical and research theoretical debates.
> The conference language will be English, with North Sámi and Russian simultaneous translations if needed.
> The deadline for submission of abstracts is 30th November 2017.
> The conference is organised by representatives from Department of Archaeology, University of Oulu; the Giellagas Institute, University of Oulu; Sámi museum Siida, Inari; Department of Archaeology and Classical Studies, Stockholm University, and Department of Archaeology, History, Religious studies and Theology, University of Tromsø.
