The Linguistic<br>Bibliography, published both in print and online, forms a central part<br>within this program. <br><br>For the Linguistic Bibliography we are looking for one or two editors for a<br>total of 1,0 fte.<br><br>Main Tasks: <br>- Provide bibliographical descriptions of linguistic literature with<br>special emphasis on Non-Indo-European and lesser known Indo-European<br>languages and enter them in the bibliographic content management system; <br>- Edit data supplied by external contributors enter them in the<br>bibliographic content management system; <br>- Collaborate in the further elaboration and improvement of both the<br>content management system and the publication platform of Linguistic<br>Bibliography Online;<br>- Collaborate in the coordination and expansion of the international<br>network of external contributors for the areas the Linguistic Bibliography<br>focuses on.<br><br>Your Profile and Background: <br>- You have a thorough and broad knowledge of the different disciplines in<br>theoretical linguistics and are well informed about recent developments in<br>the field; we expect you to have a master's or comparable degree either<br>in general linguistics or in a specific language with a linguistic<br>specialization;<br>- You are a quick, accurate and efficient worker;<br>- You are able to work independently, at the same time cooperating within<br>a small team;<br>- You have an active knowledge of Dutch, you are highly proficient in both<br>written and spoken English, and you have excellent communicative skills;<br>- You are proficient in at least two of the following languages: French /<br>German / Spanish / Russian; the ability of reading more languages would be<br>appreciated; <br>- You have some knowledge of and/or experience with working with databases; <br>- You have at least some basic experience with the compilation of<br>bibliographic references.<br><br>If you are interested in collaborating in the compilation of the Linguistic<br>Bibliography, send an e-mail with your letter of application and cv by<br>August 15th 2011 to Ms. Ina de Lange, HRM, lange@brill.nl.
