EN-US">The postdoctoral researchers will conduct research in the field of Uralic
languages, concentrating mainly on languages other than Finnish, Hungarian or

will take part in teaching, supervision and other departmental activities. One
of the postdoctoral researchers is also expected to take part in the planning
of research projects. The other is expected to develop electronic archiving of

to the Regulations of the University of Helsinki, the appointees must hold a
doctoral degree and have the ability to conduct independent scientific work as

to the Government Decree on Universities, postdoctoral researchers are required
to be proficient in Finnish or Swedish. They must also have at least
satisfactory spoken and written skills in the other of these two languages.
Foreign citizens, non-native Finnish citizens or citizens who have not been
educated in Finnish or Swedish may be exempted from this requirement without a
separate application. To successfully attend to the duties of the position,
