The 5th International Conference on Samoyedology will be held
21.–23.10. in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Helsinki</st1:place></st1:city>.
We invite
linguists, ethnologists, folklorists and anthropologists to
submit a proposal
for a talk presenting original research on any aspect of
Samoyedic studies
covered by the conference. Following the practicalities of
earlier Samoyedology
conferences, also the 5th Samoyedology Conference will have
only one section. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span
style="font-family:"Times New Roman""><br>
Presentations should be 20 minutes in length (20+10). Beside
regular talks, the
organizers have reserved a two hour slot on 22.10. afternoon
for informal
presentations of current projects (10 min maximum). This
conference will not
organize a poster session; participants are welcomed to take
earlier poster presentations
along and the organizers will provide space for their
presentation.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New
Roman"">The official
working languages of the conference are English, Russian and
German.
Translation services will not be provided. <br>

Abstracts should not be longer than 500 words, excluding data
and references;
abstracts need not to be submitted anonymously. Submissions
are limited to one
proposal per author; a second co-authored proposal may be
submitted and
reconsidered, but single-authored talks are prioritized during
the review process.
For an informal presentation of current projects a title and a
very short
characterization are required. Please submit presentations

этнографов,

ходе предыдущих конференций, программа 5-ой международной
конференции будет

секции будет состоять из устных докладов длительностью 20
минут. Кроме

двух-часовая секция
для неформальных 10-минутных презентаций текущих проектов. В
программе
конференции не предусмотрено специального времени для
постерных презентаций,
однако, участникам, желающим представить имеющиеся постеры,
будет предоставлено
