<html aria-label="message body"><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=us-ascii"></head><body style="overflow-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;"><div>Dear URA-LIST Community,</div><div><br></div>The next Winter School of Finno-Ugric Studies will be held in <b>Vienna </b>from <b>22 to 27 February 2027</b> as a hybrid teaching event. <br><br>The winter school will consist of the following teaching activities:<br><br>* Mansi language course (Jeremy Bradley / LMU Munich)<br>* Workshop on Samoyedic / corpus linguistics (University of Hamburg)<br>* Workshop on language contact / areal linguistics and the Uralic family (Idaliia Fedotova / University of Eastern Finland)<br>* Two guest lectures<br>* A student colloquium<br><br>The core target group are students of Finno-Ugric linguistics (BA, MA, PhD), but we are happy to accept students from neighbouring disciplines as well. Please note that we do not have any centralised funding at this point, i.e. if you wish to participate, you will have to apply for funding at your home university or through other channels. There is no participation fee.<br><br>The number of participants is limited by the size of the auditorium, but a number of places are guaranteed for students at established study programmes of Finno-Ugric studies - if you need a letter of invitation, please contact Josefina Budzisch or Johanna Laakso and the professor / studies coordinator at your home university.<div><br></div><div><div>Best</div><div>Josefina & Johanna (givenname.surname [at] univie.ac.at)</div>
