Dear France,

Thanks for your mail.

Well, it has been a long time since we communicated. I went through many
physical health problems since Dec 2003. During Dec 2003, I sprained my
ankle in India and later on I fractured my foot (liz franc fracture) on Feb
15, 2004 in Pittsburgh. I had one major surgery on Feb 25 and another minor
one on July 2. As you know, I live all by myself and it made my life
miserable during the last 7 months. I was on casts and crutches until Aug
15, 2004.

I am still using one crutch for support. I am not able to descend stairs. My
walking has improved after severe physical therapy.

I have started to accept life as it comes. I am trying to keep myself
occupied (with my restricted movements). I am glad that the worst is over.

How is life treating you these days?

Love,
Uma
