  ===================================

  Marathi (Dec 2006) Poem part & prose. Monthly
  sample below recast in Roman script. See M12,
  E03, E15 in ( www.mngogate.com ) for symbols.
    Linear (a-z) Roman better suits search-engines,
  word-sorting ( dictionaries, phonebooks), typing.
  Circulate. (Author)  mngogate1932 at yahoo.com

  ----
  Hints. apo ( ' ) varies sound. Stone = dagad' (not
  dagaD). Usually no capitals. 3 dots bet adjacent
  sentences. Lot of English words in Marathi. Use
  capitals to start names (and traditional spellings
    Police Pencil etc in transition). Eventually adopt
  logical (polis, pensil). Devanagari is popular and
  gives compact words, due to lot of symbols. If it
  is not available, use Roman on English facilities.
  Uniform vowels u (u, oo), i (i, ee), hindi = hindee.

  Mar (a,aa)(d,d' ) = Eng (u-up,a-art) (th-that,d-do).
