<p>We are happy to announce that South Asian Language Review (SALR), a

biannual journal published in India beginning with January 1991 plans to

<br>bring out a special issue on the theme `Computational  Semantics'.Papers

are sought in areas which include, but are not limited to, the following

topics:

in natural language dialogues

use of natural language semantic representations

<br>        * knowledge representation

and reasoning in meaning computation

<br>        * the computational semantics-pragmatics

interface

<br>        * modelling and using context

for semantic interpretation

<br>        * semantic aspects of language

<br>        * shallow processing and

formal semantics

<br>         * building semantic

interfaces in grammars

<br>         * word sense disambiguation

<br>         * the use of context

in interpretation

<br>SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

<p>Authors are requested to submit an original paper in not more than 3000

<br>words (or 15 pages) by   June 30, 2003. Papers may be submitted

<br>electronically in MS-WORD /PDF/PS formats to umarani@pitt.edu or

<br> koulon@now-india.net.in. Please follow the Stylesheet used in

<i>Language.</i>
