Conference of South Asian Languages Analysis (SALA) will be held 19 _
21 November, 2004 at the State University of New York, Stony
Brook. SALA 24 will be organized by the Center for India
Studies, in collaboration with the Linguistics Department and the
Department of Asian and Asian American Studies. <br>

presentation should be no longer than 250 words. At the top of
the abstract, put the title, but do not put your name. Your
name should only be on a cover message, which should
include: <br>
-- name(s) of the author(s),<br>
-- affiliation,<br>
-- contact address, telephone, fax numbers, and email address<br>
-- title of the paper<br>
Send your abstract as an<b> e-mail attachment</b> to Professor S.N.
Sridhar at<u> s.sridhar@stonybrook.edu</u>. The deadline for
submission of abstracts is<b> October 1, 2004. </b> Authors will
be notified whether their paper has been accepted or not shortly
after the abstracts have been received. <br>

For abstract publication purposes, please follow these guidelines:
your text should be in Word format, Times New Roman font (size 12pt),
single-spaced and have 1 inch margins on all sides.<br>
Special fonts: If your abstract uses any special fonts, please send
(alongside Word document,) a PDF file, or a paper copy to the address
shown below (same deadline), as special fonts may not transmit
accurately. Indicate at the bottom of your e-mail if a hardcopy has
been mailed. You may choose to send your special fonts file via
attachment, or by diskette/CD.<br>
