Conference on Austroasiatic Linguistics will be held at The Institute of
Language and Culture for Rural Development, <st1:placename w:st="on">Mahidol</st1:placename>
<st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype>, Salaya campus (just
outside of <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Bangkok</st1:place></st1:city>),
October 29 - 30, 2009.</p>

attend, to assist our planning and preparations. If you would like to attend,

Reunion <br>
After a decades-long absence, the biannual Austroasiatic Lingistics conference
series was revived in 2007 with a highly successful meeting at <st1:placename w:st="on">Deccan</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">College</st1:placetype>
in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Puna</st1:city>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">India</st1:country-region></st1:place>. As we travel to <st1:city w:st="on">Bangkok</st1:city> in 2009, we take advantage of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Thailand</st1:country-region></st1:place>'s central location to hold
an inclusive conference with representative scholars and speakers from every
branch of Austroasiatic. Please join us in fulfilling our conference
theme: An Austroasiatic Family Reunion. <o:p></o:p></p>

theme, the Centre for Research in Computational Linguistics (with support from
the National Endowment for the Humanities) has made provision for a limited
award of honoraria for attendees from native speaker communities. These will be
decided at the discretion of the organizers. We will accept written requests
and suggestions, which will be assessed on their merits. <br>
