<DIV class=yiv1969489662headline>up is not ready (it appears, on 3 Aug 2011, date of note) for Telugu, Kannada</DIV>
<DIV class=yiv1969489662headline>which too are recognised as Classical languages. I learn Malayalam is not</DIV>
<DIV class=yiv1969489662headline>successful in getting recognition (from Sahitya Akadami which scrutinizes </DIV>
<DIV class=yiv1969489662headline>evidence for 2000 years antiquity). It would take time to know result for Marathi.</DIV>

<DIV class=yiv1969489662headline>Purpose of grant is defined, (Govt will audit expense), See instance of Sanskrit.</DIV>
<DIV class=yiv1969489662headline>Some earlier figures, mentioned in some Pune meetings, were wishful thinkings.</DIV>
<DIV class=yiv1969489662headline>I learn that a sumptuous budget per year per language is under consideration</DIV>
<DIV class=yiv1969489662headline>of Govt (but not finalised). I suggest some Lok sabha MPs may take interest</DIV>

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (RSKS), New Delhi, Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha<SPAN> </SPAN>(SLBSRSV), New Delhi and Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSV), Tirupati and Maharishi Sandipni Rastriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain (MSRVVP), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of<SPAN> </SPAN>HRD.<SPAN> </SPAN>The Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT) has been set up at Chennai in January 2008 as an autonomous body fully funded by the Central Government for promoting Classical Tamil

<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=yiv1969489662MsoNormal>RSKS imparts education mainly on Sanskrit language from school level to Post Graduate/Doctorate level through its campuses and affiliated institutions.<SPAN> </SPAN>It implements various schemes through Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidayalas.<SPAN> </SPAN>It has other schemes such as vocational training scheme, Sanskrit Dictionary project, production of Sanskrit Literature, purchase of Sanskrit books, Merit scholarship.<SPAN> </SPAN>MSRVVP, Ujjain is working for preservation of Oral tradition in Vedic studies.

The Central Government is in the process of establishing centre of excellence for the development and promotion of classical Kannada and Telugu.
