2018 GAL Congress “Languages – Communication – The Public Domain”
Sept 11-14, 2018
University of Duisburg-Essen, Campus Essen, Germany

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the German Association for Applied Linguistics (Gesellschaft für Angewandte Linguistik – GAL), GAL hosts an International Congress to showcase the breadth and complexity of AL as an applied science which aims to present a balance of scientific theory and societal practice. The theme of the congress is “Languages – Communication – The Public Domain”.
GAL welcomes abstracts for papers in ten symposia and a poster session. The deadline for paper abstracts is April 1, 2018.
