[ACLA-CAAL] Important Update on ACLA 2021/Nouvelle importante de l'ACLA 2021

Dear ACLA Colleagues,

We’re hoping your Fall semesters are off to a great start! This is just a quick note to reach out to you and let you know that our ACLA Executive have been waiting to hear news from officials on the status of Congress 2021 at the University of Alberta, particularly as concerns our ACLA conference.

We want you to know that we haven’t forgotten you, and will be sending out an official Call for Proposals shortly, but there is a high probability that the format of our annual conference, similar to other annual conferences to be held this year, will be virtual.

Our ACLA President and Vice President are taking part in large meetings this week over Zoom with Congress 2021 members. We will certainly keep you posted, and we thank you for your patience, in the meantime.

Nous espérons que votre semestre d’automne a démarré du bon pied! Nous voulions vous envoyer ce message pour vous dire que le comité exécutif de l’ACLA attend des nouvelles quant au statut du congrès de 2021 à l’Université de l’Alberta, en particulier en ce qui a trait à la tenue de notre conférence annuelle.

Nous ne vous avons pas oublié et nous vous enverrons un appel de propositions bientôt. Il est cela dit probable que le format de notre conférence, comme celui de moult autres conférences, soit virtuel.

La présidente et le vice-président de l’ACLA participent à des réunions de grande envergure cette semaine par Zoom avec les membres du congrès de 2021. Nous vous tiendrons bien évidemment au courant et, entre-temps, nous vous remercions de votre patience.
