Premier appel à communications
PSLLT 2025, Montréal, Québec, Canada (15-17 octobre 2025)

La 16e conférence « Prononciation dans l'apprentissage et l'enseignement d'une langue seconde » (PSLLT) - une réunion annuelle consacrée à la recherche et à l'enseignement des langues secondes ou supplémentaires - se tiendra du 15 au 17 octobre 2025 à l'Université Concordia à Montréal, Québec, Canada. La conférence réunira des enseignants, des chercheurs et des étudiants travaillant sur tous les aspects de l'enseignement et de l'apprentissage de la prononciation dans toute langue seconde. Le thème général de la conférence est « La prononciation dans le monde réel ». En plus des travaux portant sur les applications concrètes de la recherche et de la pédagogie en prononciation, nous invitons des propositions sur tout aspect de la recherche de l'enseignement et de l'apprentissage de la prononciation dans l'ensemble des approches de recherche, y compris des études expérimentales, observationnelles, descriptives et de corpus.

  *   Charlie Nagle (Université de Texas à Austin)

Communications
Nous acceptons les soumissions pour les trois formats suivants :

  *   communications orales (20 min, suivies de 5 min de questions)
  *   communications par affiche (une séance de communication d'affiches dédiée de 90 min) et
  *   conseils pédagogiques (7 min, activités pédagogiques factuelles reliées à l'enseignement de la prononciation).

Le portail de soumission des communications<https://psllt2025.ca/Call-for-proposals/> est présentement ouvert jusqu'au 15 avril 2025. Les résumés de communications ne doivent pas dépasser 300 mots, références facultatives comprises. La décision d'acceptation sera communiquée avant le 15 mai 2025. Veuillez noter que vous devrez créer un compte SoftConf<https://softconf.com/p/psllt2025/> pour pouvoir soumettre votre résumé.

Politique linguistique
La langue officielle de la conférence est l'anglais, mais les communications en français sont également bienvenues.

First Call for Papers
PSLLT 2025, Montreal, Quebec, Canada (15-17 October 2025)

The 16th Pronunciation in Second Language Learning and Teaching (PSLLT) Conference-an annual meeting devoted to the research and teaching of second or additional languages-will take place on 15-17 October 2025 at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec, Canada. The conference will bring together instructors, researchers, and students working on all aspects of pronunciation teaching and learning, in any second language. The general theme of the conference is Pronunciation for the Real World. In addition to work related to real-world applications of pronunciation research and pedagogy, we invite proposals about any aspect of pronunciation research, teaching, and learning-across the entire spectrum of research, including experimental, observational, descriptive, and corpus studies.

Keynote speakers

  *   Suzie Beaulieu (Université Laval)
  *   Charlie Nagle (University of Texas at Austin)

Presentations
We welcome submissions across the following three formats:

  *   oral presentations (20 min, followed by 5 min of questions)
  *   posters (a dedicated 90-min poster presentation session), and
  *   teaching tips (7 min, evidence-based pedagogical activities for teaching pronunciation).

Abstract submission information
The abstract submission portal<https://psllt2025.ca/Call-for-proposals> is open, and the submission of proposals closes on 15 April 2025. Abstracts should have no more than 300 words including optional references. Notification of acceptance will be communicated by 15 May 2025. Please note that you will have to create a SoftConf account<https://softconf.com/p/psllt2025> to be able to submit your abstract.

Language policy
The working language of the conference is English, but presentations are also welcome in French.
