Re "resources." Maybe the announcer was an expatriate Canuck - certainly
I've never heard (or said) it any other way but /rIzors at s/ with the stress on
the second syllable, and that's the first pronunciation given in the Gage
Canadian Dictionary (1997), though it's second in Webster. The /risors/ one
is third in Gage.
