Over the weekend I saw a sign for "Hawaiian Shave Ice". This was a commercial
color job, which I think I saw in a store window (maybe in Woodstock, NY),
provided, I guess, by the company that provided either the prepared snack or the
machinery (I didn't go in to look or order one) to the store. I actually
backpedaled a few steps to be sure I'd seen what I thought I'd seen, "shave ice"
without the "d".
