Sidebar to Listmember Peter Richardson's comment, speaking of how well he
knows his pupils, I can even skip the chapter on Sex and Other Distractions
and trust that they'll read it.

Reminds me of our Chaucer prof many long years ago, telling us when setting
out our next assignment while we were working our way through the Canterbury
Tales, I don't customarily assign The Miller's Tale, because I can
reasonably assume that you'll all read it anyhow.
