my word of the year--for your information

Ron--not to be contentious, but is WOTY limited strictly to new words, or can it
include new usages for old words? I'm not partial to "Littleton/Columbine," but
I understand the new generic significance now assigned to it. I wouldn't cast
my vote for "L/C"--not because it's been around and b/c it's a place name--but
b/c I don't think that it's been all that pervasive.

One noisy lurker's opinion (since I'm not an official member of ADS).
