Welcome to the English Dialect Information Exchange (EDIE). This is a
forum established in March 1996, by Jon Fyne and Charlotte Thomas, at
The Centre for English Cultural Tradition and Language, Department of
English language and Linguistics, University of Sheffield. It aims to

aspects of dialectology in Britain.
