TARGET--From the New York Observer, 19 July 1999, pg. 34, col. 2:

Cheap tricks: We think "reverse chic" (supermodels bragging about how they
shop at Kmart and Army surplus stores--anything you say, _ladies_) is
somewhat heinous.  That said, that whimsical Wal-Mart-ish store, Target
(whose corporate honchos _encourage_ you to pronounce it "Tar-jay," as if it
were French), is certainly the best of the cheapo-chic bunch...
